Catana built her for her original owner, who had previously circumnavigated on a Catana 582. Taking the knowledge learned on that circumnavigation, he met with the Catana's designers and builders to develop one of the most luxurious bluewater cruising catamarans ever launched. Her current owners purchased her in Spain and moved her to the same areas of France where she had been built to complete an extended refit. In Canet-en-Roussillon over 5000kg of weight was removed that has greatly improved her performance. Another 1000kg of weight was removed in 2024 with the changeover to Lithium from AGM. My answer is, cleaning products! Sometimes these are provided by charter companies sometimes they're not. And it's a great way to take control and start being eco-friendly through the cleaning products that you're buying. I really like NatureSafe Marine. They're made here in Croatia by actually a friend of ours. They provide products like dishwashing soap, all-purpose spray, even hand soap. Because of course the runoff of all of those goes straight into the sea.
