Due to a hectic week of sailing our boat to her berth, moving in and overwhelmed by fatigue, I made a preview for this week of vlog 11. Next week the full episode will be online! Short intro: After years of grief for my husband I've decided to change our home for a sailboat with ZERO experience...I'm just following my heart. I stay with my girls in The Netherlands where we at first will live on the boat untill my youngest will fly out..Then I will set sail to the world. (La Belle Bleu = my love for the sea and the name we want to give to the boat.) I hope I can inspire you to follow yours! Thank you for watching, I really appreciate you following along my journey. Day 6 of our Christmas calendar takes you into the engine room, where all the heavy-duty magic happens! 🎄 Here’s what you’ll find in this surprisingly spacious area: 🚛 Main engine: - A Volvo Penta TMD22 with 78 horsepower, running like a champ with just 2,000 hours. - We’re planning a full service before setting sail next summer. ⚡ Fischer Panda genset: - This powerful generator provides AC power whenever we need it—perfect for life at sea. ⚡ Port bulkhead: - Packed with many of our electrical Victron components, which we’ll show you in a future episode. It might be tight compared to a house, but for a boat, this is luxury! Got questions about our engine room or how we keep it running smoothly? Drop them in the comments! 💬 🎥 See you tomorrow as we explore more of Vela! 🎵 Music by Sergio Prosvirini from Pixabay #YouTubeShorts #Explore #TravelVlog #Vloggers #DailyLife #ChristmasCalendar #Vlogmas #ChristmasOnBoard #Beneteau44cc #Sailing #Liveaboard #LifeAtSea

New Zealand is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, places to travel. Back in 2017 I spent five months there spearfishing and freediving throughout the entire country. Exploring not just on land, but under the sea as well was an amazing experience. The kelp forests were especially fun to dive through. Here you see me diving in the Coromandel Peninsula. After finding a cool rock formation, I knew I had to dive down and see what was underneath. Although there was no fish, it was still an amazing freedive and one that I'll never forget! . .
