We were nearing the end of a delivery, during the winter, from Palma to Croatia when we hit some rough weather... initially just a Force 9 it wasn't long before it was blowing 55kts (a F11) Good weather to be in a sturdy yacht! The E64 took it on the nose and we arrived with no damage but ready for a good nights rest and a decent meal :) Another yacht delivered to her happy owner! #takingabeating #roughweather #elegance64

Hauling out our Lagoon 42 catamaran is a regular maintenance task that happens every 18 months or so. Typically our sailing catamaran is lifted out of the water by a travel lift in carefully placed slings, which gave us great confidence. Not this year, watch just what happens when we head to Curaçao for a lift from a tractor.... Would you like to experience the sailing life aboard our Lagoon 42? Erraid is a small, rugged tidal island, one mile square, considered to be one of the driest, sunniest spots on the west coast of Scotland. It is located at the tip of the Ross of Mull. Traigh Gheal, or David Balfour's Bay, is situated on its south side. Read our guest blog from Moonshadow Yacht Charters on their visit: https://www.sailscotland.co.uk/news/posts/2017/the-isle-of-erraid/ Scotland offers sailing as it should be… there’s space and freedom. And the choice to do a lot – or do next to nothing – in this spectacular setting. It’s uncrowded and unspoilt, and life here moves at a different pace. People come specially to see basking sharks, puffins, seals, dolphins and eagles. They sail. They walk along beaches and coastal paths, explore local history and photograph their surrounds. They eat fresh seafood at stylish cafes and vibrant marinas. They enjoy the friendly traditional pubs. They browse shops in bustling coastal towns and villages. They picnic on beaches that are near-deserted, even in the height of summer. Or just sit and watch the tides, the sunsets and the stars.
