There is a LOT of sanding to do before we can apply the topcoat over the primer. As I sand away my father is finishing up our new companionway hatch and turtle hatch!

Frauscher is once more redefining the luxury day cruiser segment with the introduction of the 747 Mirage. The name “Mirage” refers to an optical phenomenon, as well as high-performance aircraft, giving the boat an aura of mystery. The 747 Mirage continues the approach Frauscher initiated with the previously launched 858 Fantom, both designed by studio KISKA, alongside hydrodynamic expert Harry Miesbauer. The features of the 747 Mirage are more radical however. Not only are they suggestive of supercar design, they also emphasize Frauscher’s racing heritage.

Giorno 163 - Contrasti. È domenica. Domani ricomincia la settimana di lavoro, ma oggi no. Oggi la testa è libera di librarsi e godersi momenti tra esplorazione e relax. Per farlo scegliamo due destinazioni: mare e foresta. Andiamo prima in spiaggia. Una spiaggia di colore dorato/rosato, incorniciata da palme e mare cristallino. Troviamo la nostra palma e ci sdraiamo. Un riposo che rigenera, aria leggera, sole che scalda e il rumore del mare che concilia la lettura e un pisolino. Questa sì che è domenica. Decidiamo che dovremo vivere più giornate così! Finito l’ozio, prendiamo l’auto e andiamo alla scoperta di una foresta che cela nel suo cuore una cascata. È così assurdo passare dal mare caraibico a una vegetazione così rigogliosa. Qui è normale, ma per noi no. Difficile abituarsi a una natura così viva, così esplosiva. Sembra che la spinta alla vita sprizzi da ogni poro del terreno. Tutto cresce, tutto punta a raggiungere il cielo: che sia una palma, che sia un filo d’erba. Una giornata piena, ricca e viva. A mille di queste domeniche! Ci vediamo domani, con la testa di nuovo sul computer! Andrea
