🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [26/52] 🪢 Are you team upwind or team downwind? Linnea was our first boat with a furling headsail and the natural way for us was to head upwind. It was always a hard job, and Marcus was the only one with enough strength to be able to furl it in even though we only had a small self-tacking jib. But then we got this advice and it was a game changer! The idea seems pretty obvious now, but we had just never considered it! Now handling the furler is an easy job, that we both can manage. Hard to believe that last June we we’re having a great time in Yellowstone National Park. I read someplace that “There are moments which mark your life. Moments when you realize nothing will ever be the same and time is divided into two parts - before this, and after this.” Such as it is with our life before the accident and after right now. We miss Yellowstone terribly but feel so grateful that we can still have our memories and our life here in the Caribbean. Fun fact: We are 4584 miles away from where this reel was made.🤭. .
