On Friday, Heather Thomas broke another record. She finished sailing around the world as the skipper for Team Scotland in the Clipper Race. Thomas and First Mate Millie Apperley are the first female leadership duo to get on a Clipper podium. Overall, Team Scotland finished in third, with 96 points. We caught up with Heather right after the Parade of Sail into Portsmouth on Saturday. The parade celebrated ending the approximately 40,000 nautical mile journey around the world. Here's how Heather felt. 🎥: Jeff J Mitchell/Getty Images/Jenny Jasper/ Sky News/Film Image Partner ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Yachting World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/user/yachtingworld?sub_confirmation=1 ► For the latest reviews, new gear launches and tour news, visit our website: http://www.yachtingworld.com ► Like us on Facebook here - https://www.facebook.com/yachtingworldmagazine ► Follow us on Twitter at: https://twitter.com/yachtingworld ► Feel free to comment below! ► Remember to hit that LIKE button if you enjoyed it :)

Week 4 of the season ending Frosties Regatta at Strangford Lough Yacht once again say some tight racing in the IRC 1 class. The crews were greated with with 8 to 12 knots of breeze from North West which increase to 20 in the rain squalls. The J109 Going To Red and the A35 Le Bascular continued there matching racing series to see who would take the title of Frosties Champion 2023. The team on J109 GTR lead early but were run down on the first run to be just behind the A35 at the leeward mark. A tight rounding on the J109 couple with some issue getting the kite down allowed GTR to snatch the lead back. After stretching out a good lead on the second beat GTR looked to have a comfortable run home until they tangled with Attica and Atalante, the team recovered to lead around the bottom mark. After some debate the team decide it was best to do some turn incase they had infringe before beating up into the oncoming rain squall. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you liked this video and it encourages you to want watch more. After a rough but fun return from English Harbour (about 35 miles) we completed the final approach under engine and took in the sunset across Bodrum. Shortly afterwards I stacked it in the marina but fortunately that's not captured on video! [] www.followtheboat.com [] * tales from the high seas *
