Seacocks are bronze valves in a boat and are used as a safety measure for closing off holes below the water line and keeping water out of the boat for either maintenance or emergencies. We have 4 total on Seawind, and one of them has been giving us trouble for the past couple of years. I cleaned and greased this particular seacock, and ever since, it’s seeped a bit of water into the boat. The only way I could stop the leak was to tighten the valve so much that I couldn’t turn the handle! Live right now for our patrons AD FREE is EP. 55 of Sailing Seawind!
