4 days until I sail solo, nonstop around the world. 🌍 Today we took Showgirl out for a test sail to try all the new sails and make sure everything is working as it should. But I have to say… the sailing wasn't really the highlight of the day. Somewhere between the never-ending lists, the last-minute jobs and the countdown getting VERY real, I’m still finding time to have so much fun with the friends and family who are here helping me get ready. And I think these are the moments I’m going to remember when I’m out there alone. Right now Showgirl is full of people, there’s always someone around, someone helping, someone laughing, someone asking what still needs to be done. In four days, it’ll just be the two of us. So I’m enjoying this chaos while I still can. ❤️ 4 days to the starting line. Follow along… we’re almost there. ⚓ Life on the Showgirl is my journey toward one of the toughest solo sailing races on the planet: the Golden Globe Race — sailed solo, non-stop, and without modern technology. Follow along as I learn, prepare, and chase a dream that feels bigger than me. ------------------------------------------ New videos EVERY week ------------------------------------------ EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!!: https://www.patreon.com/classicmara ------------------------------------------ Follow Mara: https://www.instagram.com/classicmara_/ __________________________ Support me: PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/helgamarielk Vipps: 39088 - Classic Mara Venmo: https://account.venmo.com/u/griedy1 GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/173a9a5e6 Buy Me a Coffe: https://buymeacoffee.com/classicmara __________________________ Affiliate links: Dakota Lithium Batteries: https://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=79634&awinaffid=2732466&ued=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dakotalithium.com Orca Navigation System: https://getorca.com/?via=classicmara PitViper: https://www.pitviper.com/discount/CLASSICMARA?redirect=%2F&utm_campaign=money%2Bcounters&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=upfluence

The yard finally got the keel off the boat, and boy is it gross. But good news: the bolts look awesome. Shiny as the day they were put in... after being cleaned.

There's a very special dive site in Alor, Indonesia that is completely covered in anemones. There is quite often current here so it is a great drift dive. Just whiz along and enjoy the view. It is incredible, even inch of the dive site is a big blanket of anemones.
