The SAILING ALAMA Project is the purchase of a first sailboat, a Bénéteau First 30 from 1979, an old adventurer who has already crossed the Atlantic Ocean with its former owner Grégoire "ASTAP sur l'Atlantique". The goal is to give this sailboat a facelift, new layout, new color and then to set sail, continue the training already started with sailing courses, to go sailing alone, with family and friends. Boats.com Senior Editor Lenny Rudow checked in at the Simrad booth at the Annapolis Sailboat Show and discovered a new way to look at your chartplotter, radar, fishfinder, and more: on an iPad. Simrad's GoFree Viewer and Control app allows the user to sync a boat's radar with an iPad for control from anywhere. http://blog.boats.com/2012/10/video-short-simrad-nso-multifunction-display-can-be-ipad-controlled/ For more short takes, visit www.boats.com
