When we were in the marina of la Ràpita, we cycled to the east side of the city and ended up in 'Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre'. It's a broad area where the river Ebro ends and it leaves a saltwater delta area, where you cycle in between grasslands, rice fields (black paella rice!) and flamingo’s. Really nice area! To me, flamingo’s are as magical as dolphins, beautiful special animals. I took a short movie of 2 flamingo’s flying over an 13th century ruin castle that was in the delta.

Vi har nu lämnat Panamabukten bakom oss och första etappen bjöd på tuff kryss i stampig sjö. Men mitt i allt lyckades vi fånga en makrill som blev en fantastisk middag ombord. Under nattpasset hörde jag valar och delfiner ute i mörkret, en sådan där stund som gör att man glömmer både sömnbrist och motvind. Morgonen bjöd på lugnare vindar men nu har vinden kommit tillbaka och vi seglar vidare i 5–6 knop utan motor, precis som vi vill ha det.
