And she was SO excited about this one! đ„čâ€ïž 35 days alone at sea, navigating without GPS, facing whatever the ocean throws at her, and now sheâs officially crossed the Equator aboard Showgirl! One more milestone achieved, and so many more still ahead. The Golden Globe Race started 39 days ago, and weâre slowly catching up with all the incredible moments Mara has been experiencing out there. Just minutes into our journey, the first moored sailboat with people on it was a fellow Mark Twain Lake sailor I had met when we first started sailing Galactica. Fortunately, Matt recognized Galactica and called my name. He works at a boatyard on the Calumet and invited me to grab a dock space with electricity!!! It was perfect for us.
