The list of surprises keeps growing. This season we decide to tackle some much need love below the waterline which never had a barrier coat. This doesn't go without a few hiccups or extra things to fix should I say. The rudder comes down to fix a structural issue where it's mounted, our propeller also has to be removed in order to replace the cutlass bearing, the strut gets welded, a water tank removed and the task of sanding the hull to bare glass begins. This leads to finding an old damage and making a huge hole in our keel, not ideal. All of that between some serious cleaning after our extremely moldy and wet return. Filmed Fall 2024. We wanted to sail North to the Chesapeake Bay but changed our mind. Hurricane Season has started so it's time to pack up the boat, enjoy a few last days on the water with its thunderstorms and go find shelter. Plus after over 15 years Cory did something crazy.
