It's true, the wind wasn’t there. But what we had was the desire to be together, to enjoy every sunray, every inch of the deck. A quieter day on the water, yet still filled with precision, ended with a Sunset Beach Party at Lunaria Beach, Baia Sardinia. With glasses of wine, a sunset on the beach, and dancing, we celebrated the amazing days we've had so far, relishing the camaraderie, the excitement of the race, and the unforgettable moments shared on and off the water. And now, the course has been revealed - ready for Day 4! Fair winds to all!
Day 2: Who says a windless day can't be thrilling? A gentle Maestrale breeze set the tone for today’s race, turning the 23-mile course into a true test of concentration and strategy. With the wind marking its rhythm, every maneuver became crucial to stay on course and make the most of the conditions. A quieter day on the water, but still filled with precision, relaxation, and Southern Wind spirit. The perfect mix of competition and the pure joy of sailing. And now, ready for Day 3!
What a day it was!!! The Weather Gods blessed us from sunrise to sunset with an evening that couldn’t have been better. A soft sunset light illuminated the rugged, warm-colored rocky hills of Sardinia as owners and teams eagerly arrived at the village of San Pantaleo and streamed into the carefully prepared Giagoni in Piazza Restaurant, exclusively decorated for an evening celebrating the day at sea just ended and the reunion of old Southern Wind faces and new friends.
The first day – Registration Day – is over! Under a clear sky and strong winds over 30 knots, twelve Southern Wind yachts arrived in Porto Cervo, welcomed with smiles, hugs, and gifts from our sponsors. After challenging crossings and final preparations, crews and owners gathered once again for this event that has brought us together for 18 years. Last night concluded with the first Skipper’s briefing, followed by the welcome cocktail, marking the official start of the event. Now everyone is ready for the first day of racing. Fair winds to all for these coming unforgettable days of competition, friendship, and adventure!
At Southern Wind, we don’t just build yachts : we design experiences. Our Rendezvous is crafted to be inclusive and enjoyable, offering each owner the sailing format that best suits their vision, style, and spirit of adventure. Performance, Corinthian, and Rendezvous are the three divisions our owners can choose from at the upcoming SW Rendezvous and Trophy, held in Porto Cervo during the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS). Today we introduce: THE CORINTHIAN DIVISION. For owners who appreciate a more relaxed approach to racing. This division simplifies race prep, with fewer professionals on board, encouraging owners, friends, and family to take an active role – especially at the helm – and enjoy the friendly, “soft” racing atmosphere.

From May 27th to 31st, a fleet of 11 yachts will sail together in the crystal-clear waters of the La Maddalena Archipelago, surrounded by the beauty and spirit that Southern Wind and its community create. We thank our valued partners for their support in making this event a special one in the superyacht calendar.
