It's getting down to the wire...will we make our deadline? You'll get two different answers depending on which one of us you ask! Today we're continuing work on the solar arch with a little something "extra"! And at night we're making progress towards installing the electronics at the helm.

Time is quickly ticking down and it's raining. Most of our remaining critical projects are outside, so we spent the day working on anything we could do indoors. As soon as the rain stopped, after dark of course, it was back to trouble shooting the windlass. That one MUST be done.

With only 11 days before we splash, we MUST get the solar panels wired and mounted! We have 4 panels and 7 lights to wire up, and it's a lot harder than we expected. Ooof!

With 12 days to go before splash, it's time to test the engines. It required a bit of trouble shooting, but we're up and running!!

With only 13 days to go, we need to STOP having sad surprises. This time the fix requires a very questionable decision with a high likelyhood of either injury or catastrophic damage. And somehow it worked! CRAZY!!

Closer and closer to putting Roam back in the water. Even through colds and injuries, the work continues. Today's jobs featured welding the new solar arch, and cutting out the new helm station fronts to mount the electronics. One step closer to sailing!

We've been in the yard for what feels like forever, but we've got 15 days to finish and splash. Will we make our deadline?
