Ahoy from the Åland Islands... I am uploading this from the island Kökar in the small harbor of Sandvik. I am getting lots of great footage for new episodes to share with you guys in the coming months... I hope you enjoy this second part of my sailing and diving trip to Catalina Island.

On this episode I continue my birthday weekend with my brother Colby. We do two dives in the day time and one at night and I spend some time exploring Avalon.

On our second dive Colby took me to 100 ft, my first dive at this depth and we saw giant kelp that looked more at home in jurassic times than our modern day.

On our night dive the visibility was not as great as the night before but it didn't stop us from seeing tons of amazing creatures while Jimmy Shannon led the way.

The Time has come, we are in a Race to Renovate and flip our French house so we can buy a sailboat. Many of you have followed us from the beginning and know this channel was created to follow our search for a boat to take us around the world.
We have a deadline and a chance to work with a shipyard, but we are in two minds about whether to work with them and finance a large part of a sailboat or go old school and purchase a second-hand boat with no debt and just set off.

In August, my girlfriend and I made the bold decision to order a brand new catamaran as we chased our shared dream of living on a sailing yacht and exploring the world together.

My videos are documenting our journey as we navigate the process of becoming 1st time yacht owners, as we get to grips with the process of buying a brand new boat, getting it into the water for the first time and preparing ourselves as we transition from working busy city lives to living and working aboard our very own catamaran next year!

In this video, we break down how you can buy a brand new yacht in the Mediterranean without paying VAT, saving tens of thousands of euros on the purchase price of a boat. We'll discuss my learnings around the 18-month VAT rule, who it applies to and strategies for non-EU yacht owners to legally navigate the Med without paying VAT. On this episode we haul up anchor and make our way under the famous Story Bridge to anchor in Brisbane's CBD. It's so surreal to see Triteia anchored with skyscrapers towering above her! After spending so many nights anchored in remote anchorages it's fun to anchor in the middle of a big city for a short stay!

We loved Brisbane! It as great to explore the city and to head over to South Bank and ride on the Brisbane Wheel!

It is the second and last of these charters. The places we visited are by far some of my favorite in the Bahamas and I loved being able to share them.
