We spent a great afternoon (and early evening) testing out the local brew (up to 60%!) in this country retreat ann drestaurant near Vigo, Galicia.

A tour around "InBalance", a Balance 482 sailing catamaran, off Port Ginesta in Spain. Thanks to Joe and the crew for showing around before they sailed her over the Atlantic. There wasn't much wind on the day!

Designed by Phillip Berman from Balance Catamarans, and naval architect Anton du Toit, the Balance 482 catamaran is a blue water performance cruiser, the smaller yacht in the Balance range next to the 526.

She sports reverse bows, foam core hulls, decks and furniture and is carbon reinforced in higher stress areas, for rigidity and sailing performance. There is an option for dagger-boards or high performance fixed keels.

She has a powerful 133 m2/1,432 square foot sail-plan, to get going early sailing in light winds and is built to handle stronger conditions well once you have shortened sail.

The 486 comes with a flexible Versa-Helm (swing helm) and is designed for short-handed and even single-handed sailing if needed. Her self-tacking jib makes beating to windward easy and all lines are led back to the upper helm station. Dual furling headsails, electric winches, and a bridle mainsheet system make this a comfortable boat to sail in all conditions.

The ELAN E4, A True SAILORS boat? A boat built for Sailing Performance and SPEED and somehow with cruising Comfort too. We take a boat tour of this lightweight speed machine to see what it's all about. Maybe she's not one for the BLUEWATER crusers or the out and out RACER but im sure both would agree if its time to dabble in both, she could be the one!

Loads going on with this superb sailboat. This was the first time I had been on a Bali, and I was expecting it to be like other cats. Boy, was I wrong?

Ben and Shea leave us this week; but not after exploring the area a little bit! We go snorkeling, visit the statue, do some deep bluewater dives, jump in crystal clear water, and I prepare some ceviche from a Cero Mackerel!

Lord Howe Island, 700 kilometres from Sydney, in the Pacific. UNESCO World Heritage Site. These 700 kilometres are tough. Lots of wind, waves, broken equipment and seasickness. It's winter, time for storms. Winter storms.

We made it to Martinique. Circumnavigation is complete. But Aquarius is in terrible condition. So much to do and we are a bit lost. Insurance already sent survey, inspection starts, couple days later the broken masts removed and we just trying to keep up and not to crash. Extreme heat doesn't help either. We are not in a position mentally or physically to make full edited videos yet, just sharing what we can...

The best of the BVI's.. well kinda. We barely scratch the surface, but we have come to the end of a beautiful week here. After visiting the Bitter End Yacht Club, I checked out The Baths with @SpearItAnimal and @PiratePrincessChronicles before settling into a beautiful anchorage.

This may be the answer to making diesel engines more environmentally friendly (or at least help in that direction for those with a diesel engine). This Sea Go oil pump saves engine oil from going in the bilge and subsequently into the ocean every time we service our engine (Which should be every year or at the specified hours of running time...*(check your manual for this).

So this is probably 5th time we visiting St. Martin - and we still get scammed! Unbelievable! That... and some other problems in paradise... We don't explore much in this island this time, as we did quite a few times before and this time it is nice just to relax, do some maintenance and prepare for overnight sail...

X-Yacht XC47. Billed by X-Yachts itself as ‘probably the best cruiser we have ever built’ and designed to replace the popular XC 45 and XC 50 models, the XC 47 has a lot of heavy lifting to do. After three years and three design iterations, each of which had an interior mock-up to experience the space physically, the result is impressive. It’s flooded with light, has decades of cruising know-how built-in and features some seriously innovative thinking. It just feels right. And it’s an X-Yacht, so it’s almost certainly going to sail like a dream.
