There is something extraordinary and spectacular about watching a fleet of superyachts navigate the narrow channels of La Maddalena: towering masts crossing paths, hulls grazing past each other, crews working in focus as the wind funneling through the Strait pressures the sails for the final upwind leg. 33 miles of pure competition. Of focus, of tactics. Two days done. One still to live.
