Wreck Dive - NRP Afonso Cerquiera (F455)

This wreck was intentionally sunk after being stripped of anything dangerous to divers or toxic to sea life. It was sunk to provide an artificial reef and dive attraction in Madeira in the Cabo Girão area. She went in service in 1975 and withdrawn from active service in 2015 before being sunk where she now lies in 2018. The wreck has some nice swim throughs and you can always see an exit, with depth ranging from about 38m through to around 18m.
