We Need to CUT HOLES to Remove 2 DETROIT 12v71s

We're one step closer to removing the massive Detroit Diesel 12V71s from our 78' aluminum yacht, Tangaroa-but before the lift can happen, there's work to do. In this video, we start prepping for the big repower. That means disassembling the dry stack exhaust, designing and starting to build a gantry system strong enough to lift a Detroit, and-yep-cutting actual holes in our galley floor and the roof to get the engines out. It may sound like a major pain, but this is the kind of boat work we love-and we're glad you're here to follow along.
