The launch and mast stepping of Balance 482 Hull#1, "Golden Hour"

The first Balance 482, Golden Hour,” was launched at the Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town, South Africa, in July 2021. It was a very exciting and much-anticipated day – both for the Balance Catamarans team and sailing community in general. Cape Town laid on a perfectly clear winter’s day for the occasion, and she went into the water to the background of a beautiful golden sunrise and Table Mountain in the background. Attending the launch were Mark Delany and his team from Balance Catamarans in Cape Town, President of Balance Catamarans Phil Berman, Anton Du Toit and his team from Du Toit Yacht Design and her new owners. Sailmakers Ullman Sails Cape Town and rig manufacturers Sparcraft Masts were also there to witness her going into the water. Sparcraft Masts stepped the rig once she was launched.
