The Basics in Systema - squats, push-ups, and sit-ups - are, in my opinion, of uttermost importance. Regular soft training allows you to get into a flow, first with your relaxed breathing. Then you start resonating with what happens around you. The progressively more stressful environment becomes familiar, like a pet that sometimes behaves incorrectly but does not disturb your tranquility.
