Survey Day for our 2020 Leopard 58!

We found our boat! We made an offer and the seller accepted, so we are now under contract on this Beauty! The survey and sea trial is the next step. The seller hires a captain for the day and we, the buyer, hire the surveyor. That basically means a professional inspector goes through every aspect of the boat, from the top of the mast to the very bottom of the hull. He checks all the rigging, electronic systems, safety equipment, engines, generators, toilets, ACs, quite literally, every single thing on the boat. The boat gets hauled out at Harbor Town Marina, which was really cool to see. This helps determine the value of the boat and getting insurance. Watching this machine lift our massive boat out of the water was kind of surreal! And standing next to and underneath her giant hulls, makes you realize how big this boat actually is!
