Records, Champagne & Crisis - Vendée Globe Week 13 - 6-2-25
From tears of joy to tears of frustration, week 13 of the Vendée Globe was another emotional and dramatic one. And if you thought that the close competition was reserved for the front of the fleet you might want to think again. The 10th edition of the world's toughest offshore race has delivered the highest level of competition throughout the fleet that the event has ever seen. From the front to the back there have been intense private battles that have lasted for 28,000 miles. And such is the pace this time around that even the tail enders are completing the race quicker than before. So, as the next wave of finishers stream across the line off Les Sables d'Olonne, Matt Sheahan talks to 6 time circumnavigator and round the world record holder Dee Caffari about why this edition has been so special and what performances have stood out for her.
