Sure we've been preparing for this for years, but when the time comes it's always a mad rush. Final boat preparations, storm sails, heavy weather gear, water, diesel, weather guessing, food prep, map plotting, will we go - won't we go? Are we doing the right thing even? And then there's the difficulty in disconnecting from all the things that tie you down to land... friends, family, work commitments, memberships, subscriptions... And hey, what the hell is our address now? The answer... the ocean I guess, somewhere out there....
