Massive Windlass progress. Working chain chute & chain locker for 80m of 10mm chain #BoatRefit #DIY

Huge progress. We have changed everything to improve anchoring. We have a much bigger and better anchor (30kg SPADE) plus 80m of 10mm chain. So we have created a larger chain locker that is 2m further aft and below the waterline. Now we have had to sort out the chute to automatically get the chain to stack in the new locker. We are now living aboard our Rival 38 Centre Cockpit full-time while finishing a refit so we can launch ASAP. When we bought Vida in August 2019 she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings (much of it not working). We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all-electric (motor, cooking etc).
