The Lofrans Tigres horizontal windlass is one of the most common electric windlasses in use on cruising sailboats. It's time-tested, reliable, and spare parts are typically easy to come by so it seems like a great fit for our Westsail 42 sailboat. The installation went smoothly aside from the typical amount of unforeseen challenges and setbacks that go hand-in-hand with boat projects, but in the end we prevailed.
