From his childhood, Thies Matzen had dreamed of becoming a wooden boat builder, and was enthralled with Eric & Susan Hiscock's Wanderer III and her voyages. As a young man, he was able to purchase Wanderer III and restore her to better than original condition while maintaining her classic rig and features.
