HEADING NORTH FOR HURRICANE SEASON | Sailing our Catamaran in the ICW

We have hinted at needing to be north of Cape Hatteras a few times but haven't properly explained why. Our boat insurance agreement stipulates that we have to be north of Cape Hatteras for Hurricane Season. Since we boat the boat in Fort Lauderdale during Hurricane Season we were able to negotiate an extension to give us time to get north. That time is just about up so it's time to get moving and get the boat just a bit farther north. And low and behold, our port engine started giving us trouble the very next morning and I decided to try to repair it myself.
