Hanse 400 Rainbow

** NOW SOLD ** 'Rainbow' is a 2010 Hanse 400. Not only is this one of the latest model 400’s to be built and commissioned in Australia, but this must surely be one of the very last one owner 400’s. Being a later model 400 she features twin steering wheels. This gives ultimate control, visibility, and of course opens the cockpit and allows easy walk-through access. ‘Rainbow’ has been a Pittwater boat since day 1 and has enjoyed occasional cruising and non-spinnaker club twilight racing. This is the three cabin layout. The larger forward owners’ berth was chosen on original order – this is an impressive forward cabin for a 40 footer. The port aft cabin has a custom mattress protecter allowing that cabin to be used for storage or can be easily converted back to a double cabin. There is a large head and shower with the all-important shower screen. Saloon seating is generous and comfortable. There is a self-tacking jib and an overlapping genoa offering a flexible sail plan. This generation 400 has in-board shrouds / rigging allowing for proper genoa tracks. ‘Rainbow’ is powered by a Yanmar 40 with only around 365 hours. She has just been anti-fouled and engine serviced in September 2024.
