Ok so this is just my opinion and please feel free to let me know what you think, but basically, although roller furler's and foils like the Harken carbo or Tuff luff systems are great for cruisers and racers respectively, if you sail short handed or want to do a bit of both, hanks are the answer. To my mind the only question is why dont more boats use them?
