FEELING STUCK ON OUR BOAT I Stepping off our sailing catamaran to search for wild horses

As our time here in Beaufort comes to a close, and before we continue our sailing adventure up the ICW, we had to get over to Rachel Carson Nature Preserve. Supposedly there are 35 wild horses on the island. The story goes that in the early 1900s a local man released his 5 horses on the newly formed island and over the years they have been slowly growing in numbers. The Preserve is 2,300 acres so our chances of finding any are pretty low, but that won't stop up from trying.
