D1495S Apollo & Hissy Fit Battle it out on RWYC Wolf Rock

It was the first time in nearly two years that the two Dazcat 1495s were to meet on the water under race conditions. The course set for the qualifier to the Lonely Rock Race had to be shortened due to weather conditions and the available window. It turned out to be a perfectly out, covering all points of sail and sail plans - we got the training and workouts we needed! Impressively, over the 120 mile course the 1495s came in just 7 minutes apart with Apollo in the lead making it around in just 12 hours, 34 minutes and two seconds! Well sailed team Apollo. During the upwind leg Hissy Fit clocked a steady 9 - 9.6knots with the wind 20-21 knots at a TWA of 48 degrees. Who dares say catamarans don't go upwind?
