Bringing the rudder bearing back home - RACE BOAT REFIT| Ep. 24

With only 13 weeks left until we've planned to go back in the water, we made a quick dash to Australia to bring our rudder bearing back to the company that made it. As seems to be a theme with our lives at the moment, we had lots to do on this trip and not much time to do it in. We wanted to visit the builder of our mast to discuss our modifications to add an additional forestay. For more information on this see our previous episode https://youtu.be/KTlBNZjw-8U We made a trip to Canberra to renew Timo's Italian passport that was about to expire and to get one for Nemo at the same time. Finally we made the most of this trip to do any shopping we needed since there's a lot more selection of tools and equipment in Australia than Fiji. After 2 years of closed borders it was exciting to be traveling again and visiting a different country. It felt very different to wake up in a big city again after 2 years living in Fiji! We’re planning to set sail again in Oct 2022, so with limited time&money we have plenty of challenges ahead to turn our dreams into reality&get back on the water!
