I get very angry at the misuse of tragedy to push a political agenda. I also find that the particular civil liberties that are under attack, and the way in which they are under attack, has uncomfortable historical significance. When people talk about "The Resistance" right now, they usually mean a mainstream authoritarianism. Well, welcome to the dissidents.
