22. Vacuuming on a narrowboat?

I've got my new vacuum cleaner so I put it through it's paces and did a bit of a review for you. For those of you without boats who may have wondered if you can run a vacuum at all, the answer is yes! Being in a marina with a shoreline (a hook-up to the mains, like a caravan), you can run any vacuum, plugging it directly into the 3-pin sockets on the boat. However, I want to run a vacuum off-grid so I've got a cordless, handheld vacuum. This has a battery that takes mains charge to charge it up, but you could do this from a portable battery pack like a Jackery, or whilst the engine or generator are running. I can clean my whole boat a couple of times before I need to recharge the battery, and it takes a couple of hours to charge up. Also this week, I met a subscriber!
