A Year on the water, DIY Houseboat Moonshine Has proven a worthy vessel. This last week has been the roughest that nature has thrown at us in all of the year. We live in the duck national wildlife Refuge, Surviving record cold temperatures, high winds and thunderstorms, as well. As flooding. Rainy nights, snow days ? all this week Mechanical failures, take our diesel heaters away from us. Leaving us left to live off of the fireplace. Firewood firewood firewood becomes the work of the day. Finding a dead standing tree stripping it off of its branches for kenneling, and using the trunk for the logs to keep us warm reading by the fire. Are favorite books staying warm by the flame. This horribly, tough week has become our favorite. We become one with this place. In awe of what it offers us, The Beauty the danger.
