I’ve got a free sailboat ! A Colvic sailor 26 called Puffin. But wait doesn’t the saying go “there’s no such thing as a free sailboat”. Well that certainly is true. In this video I give you a tour of the boat and give you an idea of what to expect. Nothing in life is free and it’s true in this respect. It’s an amazing sea going boat and I’m already enjoying the journey. Eventually it will be sailed and called home. Join me in the long process of restoring and rebuilding this lovely boat, this is definitely a DIY project as I have never done anything like this before. I will be teaching myself all the boat building skills I can but will not be building a run of a mill sailboat. Having no engine, I have decided to go the electric motor route. I will also be looking into onboard plastic recycling and 3d printing using that plastic. As well as other aspects and inventions to improve self- sufficiency onboard. As well as being a beginner at boat building I am also a beginner at Youtube Vlog videos.
