We all love to hear a success story, and the Benetti Oasis is one of the greatest success stories in yachting history. When the project was first presented to the public it was met with great appreciation but not with as many orders as one may expect. By the time I filmed this video no less than THIRTEEN units had been sold though. THIRTEEN! Quite incredible for a yacht of this size, and a testimony to Benetti's ability to keep producing yachts that the market wants to buy.

We kick off a new year with a project for the future. Harnessing the power of the wind the Ice Kite uses exciting technology that already exists...but does it represent the future of yachting?

Earlier this year I was thrilled to be invited to take a look on board Benetti's new 145' super yacht called the "Diamond". This new range of yachts promises to be hugely successful for Italy's largest yacht builder, and it's easy to see why!

A few weeks ago I was part of a zoom call with the Italian Sea Group who own the "Tecnomar" brand. They enthused about the amazing success they are enjoying with the Lamborghini yacht project. Amazing...but not surprising. The yacht has a beautiful design and it's little wonder that they are selling well!

I was recently invited to visit the historic Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia, Italy. They have been building boats and yachts since 1854 so there history is pretty impressive. They are gearing up for a great future too though, and that will most certainly be the topic fo future vlogs.

Earlier this year I was honoured to be asked to interview Peter Lurssen for the first ever edition of "Lurssen Live". Lurssen are eager to communicate that they are ready, willing, and able to builder "smaller" yachts, and so that was the theme of the event. In this vlog I look at five yachts they have already built that are under 60 meters, and I can also show you the entire "Lurssen Live" event!

It's always exciting when Ferretti come out with a new model, and that is especially so when it is at the top of their range. The Ferretti 1000 has some wonderful features and promises to be one of their most successful yachts to date!

I asked my new assistant Eduardo to research yachts that have featured in James Bond movies just a couple of weeks before the great Sean Connery passed away. His life was certainly something to be celebrated, and this video features a brand that he worked with that is now launching some interesting new models.

Many of you may recall that earlier this year I was searching for an apprentice to assist me with the research and presenting of videos. I found somebody with the amazing name of Eduardo Perrone da Zara, and asked him to research Benetti's amazing new Oasis 40. By amazing coincidence, shortly thereafter Benetti asked me to produce a walk through video of the yacht...so we filmed a preview vlog on board!

I flew to Bodrum in Turkey a couple of weeks ago to take a look at a remarkable custom built gentleman's yacht called "Olde Salt".
