The night that the Rose-Noëlle flipped, it had a parachute anchor out...but the parachute itself is not what failed. Its trip line wrapped around the parachute and collapsed it in the middle of the night. Sometimes the feature designed to make equipment easier to recover creates an entirely new danger.
