It’s just a very rare opportunity to find such a perfectly well maintained and operating classic yacht. With Wraith of Odin, there is a beautiful history and story. Built on a beach in Norther Rivers region and with the current owner, a full rebuild, a trans Tasman cruise, a successful racing program, and just an absolute diligence in all regards. There is nothing to do. With her full covers, and regular scheduled care, she is also easy to maintain.
How did we manage to sail nine legs from Miami to Antigua with nearly no need for motoring? Was it just luck, or did changing weather patterns create the perfect conditions? @SVIslandSpirit Podlink: https://tinyurl.com/SaltyPodcast38 #SaltyAbandon #SaltyPodcast #Sailing #MiamiToAntiguaSailing #SailingNoMotor #TradeWindsSailing #SailingWeatherPatterns #BeamReachSailing #OffshoreSailingTips #CaribbeanSailingRoutes #SailingTheCaribbean2024 #LowPressureSailing #AtlanticSailingSeason #SailingWithoutMotors #WindPatternsForSailors #BestWeatherForSailing #SailingPodcasts
The J/70 Worlds has a new champion! Yonder (USA), the team from Newport, Rhode Island, powered by North Sails and skippered by Douglas Newhouse with Jeremy Wilmot on tactics, led from Day 1 and never looked back, clinching the world title after five phenomenal days on the Bay of Palma. The team praised their North Sails setup for providing the perfect balance of speed. "Once we switched to North, we had it all," Newhouse shared. Yonder also sported #NorthSailsPerformanceClothing, ensuring they performed their best on the water. In addition, Brutus II (GBR), skippered by Charles Thompson with North expert Ben Saxton onboard, secured 3rd place overall, finishing strong with a win in the final race. Tim Ryan’s Vamos (AUS) topped the One Pro division, while Alec Cutler’s Hedgehog (BER) and Sofia Giondi’s Wanderlust (ITA) earned podium finishes in the Corinthian fleet. With North-powered boats excelling across divisions, it’s safe to say that this regatta will go down as another incredible chapter in the #NSVictoryList.
