See the manufacturing technology that sets North Sails apart. Take a look inside North Sails’ brand new UK sail loft. The loft is based in Gosport, on the southern coast of the UK, and houses a number of global departments under one roof. These include Superyacht finishing and sail production for One Design and North Sails 3Di. As NorthSails’ European flagship facility, the loft enables North Sails to remain at the forefront of sail technology, innovation and manufacturing. Gosport is the first loft in the world to specialise in superyacht sails, and it’s gigantic raised floor – measuring 1,950m2 – is the largest ever built. A team of 9 designers and 82 staff members are aided by state-of-the-art technology and equipment, ensuring sails are delivered quickly, and safely – with no compromises in quality. The space is split into two manufacturing bays, and the main floor is designed to cater to superyacht sail finishing. Measuring 101x30m, the space can accommodate two J-Class headsails and a mainsail laid out simultaneously. The secondary bay is dedicated to One Design sailmaking and Certified Service sail care. #6 Montafon Banked Slalom presented by DEELUXE March 19th, 2016 • Gargellen, Austria It’s banked time again!! Ladies and gentlemen, we have the pleasure to announce the up and coming 6th edition of the Montafon Banked Slalom. Like the past years, it will take place in the beautiful so called « Banked Town », Gargellen, deep in the Montafon valley, west wild part of Austria. On Saturday, March 19th, the race format will welcome 150 racers in the (in)famous « Barrel gully » which will burn legs for two fired up runs. After a day of hot berm shredding, we will gather around live bands at the bottom of the resort to celebrate the fastest racers during the prize giving.
