One of the most important things to understand as a diver is that most marine life including moray eels and sharks are not really aggressive as long as you respect their space. A patient observer may even be befriended by some curious creatures. The Green Moray Eel is often misunderstood as being aggressive when in fact they are quite shy creatures. Their poor eyesight does make bright objects a curiosity however they are rarely aggressive unless you threaten them or their territorial space.
