READ BELOW! 👇🏽 Trying to get over your fear of new gym equipment? Don’t want to look silly? Scared you’ll do it wrong? GIRL I GET IT 💕 I have signed up for a gym membership in over 8 countries this year, and EVERY. SINGLE. GYM has equipment I’ve never seen before - even as a fitness trainer with 12+ years of experience. While I typically prefer free weights and barbells, it is nice to change it up to try something different and NOT feel personally victimized 😅! So here are my tips for you: 1. Look at the instructional photos on the machine. They all come with them! It’ll show you what muscle group it works (SO helpful) and a brief set of instructions on how to set the machine up. 2. Start with light or no weight if possible - this is 2 tips in 1 because you can get in a warm up set, WHILE understanding how the machine moves. If you load it up heavy before figuring it out, chances are you will injure yourself, damage the machine, AND feel kinda dumb when it makes a loud noise. 3. Leave your ego at the door. I get that it can feel a little awkward walking around the machine trying to understand where the weight goes, or where your feet placement should be. But when it comes to gym equipment and your body - it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Ignore the gym bros and the fit chicks - focus on you and your workout. 4. Ask for help. That’s what gym staff are there for! They should all be certified if they’re on the gym floor, and at the very least, should understand how a piece of equipment works. Don’t be shy - the more you learn, the more confident you will be. What tips am i missing?! #fittok #fyp #fitnesstips

Excitement and anticipation were building in English Harbour, Antigua over the weekend as we counted down to Race Day 1 of the 2019 Oyster Antigua Regatta! Thirty Oyster Yachts have gathered in Antigua this year to enjoy exhilarating sailing and fabulous shoreside parties in one of the world's most outstanding sailing locations. The UNESCO world heritage site Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour, is a fitting venue for a very special double celebration in true Oyster style. On Sunday 7th April, a welcome celebration was held marking the final chapter of the 2017-2019 Oyster World Rally. The second edition of the 27,000 mile circumnavigation came to conclusion, where it started in the spiritual Caribbean home of Oyster. Following the memorable occasion, the 42nd Oyster Regatta will take place from the 8th to the 12th of April. Racing kicks off at 11am AST on Monday 8th April 2019 where 17 Oysters with close to 200 Oyster owners, guests and crew, will enjoy a mixture of course and passage racing, taking in a lay day mid-way through, and memorable shoreside parties at some of Antigua's renowned destinations.
