La conferenza di presentazione della stagione sportiva 2015 dello Yacht Club Costa Smeralda ha rappresentato l'occasione per fare una chiacchierata con il commodoro YCCS Riccardo Bonadeo, l'uomo che nel 1983 fu a capo del consorzio di aziende che sostennero la campagna di America's Cup di Azzurra, che rese popolare la vela in Italia. Sappiamo della vecchia passione di Bonadeo per il giro del mondo, così gli abbiamo chiesto della possibilità, per un team italiano, di prendere parte alla prossima edizione della Volvo Ocean Race. The aft cabin is one of the biggest spaces on Vela, but we still see so much potential to optimize! Here’s what we’re planning: 🛠️ Extra Storage: We’re building cabinets on each side of the bed and adding shelves inside the hanging lockers—because you can never have too much storage for clothes and gear on a boat. 💡 Desk Transformation: That “make-up table” (seriously, who uses it?) is getting a makeover! We’re turning it into a retractable desk with shelves above—perfect for working or planning our next adventures. 🌬️ Ventilating Cupboard Doors: On our nice-to-have list are ventilating doors for better airflow and to prevent condensation—practical and pretty. 💧 Watermaker Plans: We’re considering fitting the membranes for our watermaker under the bed, making good use of otherwise empty space. This cabin is already cozy, but we can’t wait to make it even more functional for life on board. What do you think of our plans? Any ideas we should consider?
