This is a video on a McKee Craft - yes, a McKee! I know, you haven't heard about these boats in a long, long time. But new ownership has taken over, and the McKee Craft boats are back. Fortunately, they construct these new models exactly as they did the old ones - a hull, a deck, and pressurized foam in-between, which cures into a one-piece boat. But the plot thickens, when you learn that McKee Craft is also building a line of larger boats, called the Aegis. The X4 Yacht Alpaca looked a picture with its big blue spinnaker set beautifully as it glides by on the way back into Cork Harbour in the final race of Cork Week 2024. Cork Week 2024 created some great memories which remind us all why we enjoy this great sport which takes us to many great places to make our memories. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you enjoy our continued look back on the racing acting from the 2024 session. Boat work is underway to get the boat ready for the 2025 season. With the tank repaired and the rain ceased we went in search of some fresh drinking water. Hiking up hills and rough terrain we find a suitable spring. With the help of some of the village kids, we do multiple trips to carry the water back to the kayak. Undoubtedly overloaded with 70L of water per trip and windy wavy seas, we just make it back to the boat before the kayak is completely under.
