🇬🇧I finally regained the courage to continue writing my book. I had started it in 2017 but due to having to process so much and overcome obstacles in my life, I couldn't move forward with it. Until now. My story is about setbacks, traumas, making strides, grieving, staying positive, hope , and regaining meaning to live life. It has brought me to where I am today. I hope I can inspire you with my story and a look into my life on social media to also persevere, keep hope and believe in your dreams. Doing a rig check before offshore sailing? Here’s how we inspect our rigging before every passage. From the top of the mast, we check for cracked fittings, loose pins, corrosion, and halyard chafe — the small things that can turn into big problems at sea. We use a climbing harness (or a bosun’s chair works too), a figure 8 knot for extra security, and always a backup halyard. Clear communication and double-checking gear are key when one of you is literally hoisting the other up the mast.
