The helm station is about to come alive, and it's turning out to be quite the game of Tetris to try and fit all the gadgets and screens that we will use to sail around in the world into a rather compact space. But with Kazza's knack for organizing, Dan's mastery with the welder, and my nerd-mode fully activated, we manage to come up with something super functional that looks pretty dang sexy! The helm station is one of those spots on the boat that can really make or break how fun, comfortable, and practical a boat is to sail, so it's something that we've put soooo much thought into. Toni and I boarded Moments in Time with Captain Mike for our first shakedown sail. It was a morning of flooding rains and stiff breezes. We found this and that issues which we were able to resolve but as the breezes reached 30+ knot winds and the waves turned the minutes to hours, we headed back to Liberty Marine satisfied with the day’s progress.
