But with Kazza's knack for organizing, Dan's mastery with the welder, and my nerd-mode fully activated, we manage to come up with something super functional that looks pretty dang sexy! The helm station is one of those spots on the boat that can really make or break how fun, comfortable, and practical a boat is to sail, so it's something that we've put soooo much thought into. Nick organised everything with the brokers and the charter companies and the people on the ground to go see the boats. In one trip he stopped at three different marinas and basically in a weekend he had shown me, took video tours of the boats. Very thorough went through every compartment with me taking videos. Showed everything. I felt like I knew the boat before I even showed up after we made the decision. The drone shots of the rigging were fantastic. We nixed one boat right off the top. Just wasn't interested in it. Too much, too much going on with it. And then it was a real close tie between the two remaining boats.
