After 6 weeks in the US we're back in Trinidad! The travel was great but it's good to be home, with an excited welcome from our dog Rose! There's lots to unpack, boat work to start and all before I fly out again to visit Australia for the first time since I moved aboard, 4 years ago. Early in the morning, these fishermen start to fish in the Ria the Vigo at the westcoast of Spain. The Atlantic Ocean is only 3 meters deep here, close to the coast. So from their boats, they scrape with an iron basket over the seabed. The basket is attached to a long wooden stick. This way they hope to bring out shellfish like mussels and earn their wages again that day.
