The 2022 summer created many more memories for the team at bottom up boats. Our Fav 5 Photos came from both the East and West Coast and North and South of Ireland. Photo 1 was a spectacular sunset over Kilrush Marina on the night before we started the delivery of our J109 to Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland. Photo 2 was from the South East corner of Ireland with the Sun Rising over Kilmore Quay Photo 3 is the our recently purchased J109 Going to Red under full sail on her home waters of Strangford Lough. Photo 4 was surfing down some wave at over 10 knot under just main and jib as we race to get to the Fastnet Rock before sunset. Photo 4 our Fav of 2022 was a spectacular sunset over the fastnet rock with the sun lighting up the top of the lighthouse to help guide us to our overnight stay on Cape Clear Island. After a great night at the Quoile yacht club that ended up continuing on into the wee hours of the morning on GTR the Redline Racing Team was great we wind and rain to sober everyone up for Race 3 of the Quoile Yacht Club springs series followed shortly after Race 1, the sun finally burnt of the morning fog to deliver a fantastic afternoon for racing. The two J109's GTR and Jammie Dogger were only meters apart as the lined up for a downwind start out of the head of the Quoile river. Jammie Dogger had windward position on the line but GTR managed to put their kite first while enabled to shoot out from the leeward position, getting to the increasing breeze first which allowed them to stretch out an early lead on the way to Mark 3. Going to Red was setup perfectly on the long beat to Mark 11 with the Jib angle in tight she raced fast and high on the flat water. After winning the second start in a row they did not look back, increasing they lead at every mark to take race 2 of the QYC spring series.
